This group started by teens for other trouble teens which began in 1993. At first, they were teenagers from the neighborhood, then their schoolmates and friends of friends started pitching in, and finnaly they number about 50 today. Even, the “Teens Talking To Teens” is popular now, everybody knows our phone number.

            The best thing about this hotline is that it give teenagers a chance to speak freely about school, parents, and the other issues they’re bothered about. Therefore Lots of the students that calls us. Most callers are high school students, and their mother calls us too, excatly when they ask about their children are taking drugs. But when the situation looks serious, we transfer the call to the professional staff who the expert to adivise about the cases.

            In this group the young volunteers are devoted to helping others, but beside it the young volunteers get something out of the experience, and they have become aware of other people’s problems and can settle their own more easily.

The Opinion:

            According to our opinion, the “ Teens Talking To Teens” is good, because that can give the positive activities for the youngs or the students, and give chance to the young for grow up their awareness about the other people’s problems. And I hope Indonesia’s Students should make the group, because there were many the negative activities in the education world, for example lot of the anarchist cases in the school, even that has included into crime. Because that, if there is group like that, the crime cases in the school will be gone.
